Collagen

Collagen is the protein that keeps skin firm, plump and resilient. It's about 75% of the dry weight of your dermis — the structural layer underneath.

The catch

You can't just rub collagen onto skin — the molecule is too large to absorb. What works is signaling your own skin to make more of it. That's where peptides and PDRN come in.

03 — The repair signal

PDRN

PDRN is a short name for tiny fragments of DNA that act as a repair signal in your skin. It was first used in clinics for wound healing and post-procedure recovery.

What it does for you

Peptides

Peptides are short chains of amino acids — basically tiny messages that tell your skin cells what to do. Different peptides send different instructions.

05 — How they work together

What pairs well — and what doesn't.

Good combinations

  • Peptides + PDRN. Peptides tell the skin to rebuild; PDRN gives it the resources and signal to do so. They work in the same direction.

  • Peptides + Hyaluronic Acid. Plumps and hydrates while peptides do longer-term work underneath.

  • Vitamin C (AM) + Peptides (PM). Vitamin C protects during the day, peptides rebuild at night.

  • PDRN + Niacinamide. Both calm and strengthen the barrier — great for sensitive skin.

Avoid mixing

  • Copper peptides + Vitamin C in the same step. They cancel each other out. Use one AM, one PM.

  • Retinol + strong acids (AHA/BHA) at the same time. Irritates the barrier and ironically speeds visible aging.

  • Peptides + harsh exfoliants back-to-back. Let peptides absorb on calm skin, not raw skin.

  • Anything active + a damaged barrier. Repair first, then add actives.
